"A surreal playground of wonder, imagination and possibility....Meyer doesn’t just choreograph a dance—she conjures an entire world. "

Inspired by her then two-year-old daughter’s question, “Do we die when we sleep?”, Rachel Meyer explores how wonder interrupts the limits we place on ourselves. As imagination and dream-space seep into everyday life, the work opens a poetic meditation on possibility and childlike wonder.
Former Ballet BC member Rachel Meyer creates a self referential universe with its own fantastical logic. Objects and setting take centre stage as the work unfolds through a constellation of encounters and parallel experiences, inviting audiences to witness the subtle moments that exist between people, between actions, and between what is and what can be.
Through virtuosic physicality, sculptural objects, and immersive theatrical design, Meyer creates a world where memory, play, and possibility continually reshape one another.
